I'am a young Phd-student at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, and a week ago,
we were at a critical point of the 'planning'-phase of our experimental project. For this
project we needed some kind of computer software that enabled us to project video-clips
in synchronisation with our measuring apparatus.
During an extensive internet search, we found the Blaxton computing web-site with
information on all of their products. From the information on the Blaxton Video
Capture product, I understood that software was able to externally trigger
video playback through the serial port (exactly what we needed!). However, after
purchasing the software, we found out that the external triggering was only
applicable for video capture and recording, not for playback.
From our purchase, we received an e-mail address to help us with the installation and
further use of the programme. Thus, we e-mailed this support-desk to inquire whether
it was indeed the case that playback could not be triggered. Only a few hours later we
received an updated version of the Blaxton Video Capture programme that was perfectly
adapted to our needs; We were now able to trigger video playback!
Later on, we had a small problem with the wiring, and again we received direct support
from the Blaxton helpdesk, from which the problem was immediately solved.
Now our experimental set-up is up and running and I must say that it is all because of
the excellent service of the Blaxton video support desk, that we are already now at the
point at which we can continue with our project and move on to the next phase of it.
I think we could not find a better software-programme to finalize our experimental
set-up. Thank you Blaxton Computing!
